Animation Awards Winners

Feb 06, 2023 Written by Collin Fultz, FIRST Robotics Competition Senior Program Director

FIRST® Robotics Competition is more than robots. In addition to celebrating the machines our teams build and the outreach they do in our community, we have two awards that celebrate outstanding artistic and technical achievement in animation. Today, I’m excited to announce the winners of the Digital Animation Award sponsored by AutomationDirect.com and the Safety Animation Award sponsored by UL Solutions.

Volunteer at an Event

FIRST hosts thousands of events around the globe annually, made possible by volunteers who fill over 250,000 roles to accomplish the mission of FIRST. Volunteer roles range from safety attendants and field reset to judges, emcees, and referees. Volunteering at an event is a great way to share technical or professional knowledge, but you do not need special skills or expertise to volunteer.

Become a Coach or Mentor

FIRST® mentors and coaches support more than half a million students across the globe each year. Mentors and coaches are individuals from all backgrounds who work with students to share their knowledge and guide them through the season. Coaches and mentors help foster Gracious Professionalism® and empower participants to engage meaningfully in the work, make critical decisions, and take ownership in team efforts.

Community Resources for Teams

The strength of FIRST® lies within our community, a global network of coaches, mentors, participants, sponsors, volunteers, and alumni committed to our mission.

One of the ways our community shows its strength is in the resources created each season to help teams tackle new challenges presented in each year’s game. We’re highlighting a few of these resources to help spread their awareness throughout more of the FIRST community.
