UL is excited to announce the theme for the 2022 Safety Animation Award: Faster, Farther, SAFER!

As we leap into the future of transportation, innovative, efficient, and sustainable technologies will help people move about faster and farther than ever before! How can we ensure that these new methods of transportation are safe for people — and our planet?

For the 2022 Safety Animation Award, teams are challenged to demonstrate, through animation, their vision of the future of transportation and how safety is important in the design of these technologies. Consider including your team's robot as a character in the animation!

Submissions for the Safety Animation Award will be accepted from Thursday October 21, 2021 at 12:00pm ET to Thursday December 2, 2021 at 3:00pm ET.  Teams can submit the animation through the FIRST Dashboard and it must be submitted by the Student Award Submitter or Lead Mentor 1 or 2.

UL will provide registration grants to the Winner and Finalists! The Winner will receive $500 and each of the two Finalists will receive $250 towards registration in 2023.
